Ascend Hotel Collection, part of Choice Hotels International, has entered 2016 with 14 hotel openings across the country in cities like New York City, Los Angeles, Orlando, Myrtle Beach, SC, Williamsburg, VA, Big Bear Lake, CA and more.
Bluegreen Vacations Big Bear Village, in Big Bear Lake, CA, is one of the new hotels. Located in Southern California this hotel offers guests an alpine adventure. Visitors can participate in water skiing, kayaking, wake boarding, horseback riding ziplining and more. There are also private hiking and nature areas that guests are welcome to use, as well as a recreation area with pool tables.
Bluegreen Vacations Innsbruck, in Aspen, CO, is in the center of downtown Aspen. The boutique hotel is close to four ski mountains, the Aspen Art Museum, Independence Pass, Roaring Fork River and Collegiate Peaks. Visitors can also stay on the property and enjoy the outdoor heated pool and whirlpool.
Hotel North Woods, located in Lake Placid, NY, is another new member of the Ascend Collection. Here, there are several Olympic sites within walking distance and Whiteface Mountain is only 20 minutes away. Guests will want to visit the U.S. Olympic Museum, High Falls Gorge and X-Country Ski Center. North Woods has its own restaurant and offers meeting space for up to 260 people. There are also rooms with balconies and lake views.
