According to a new survey from CheapHotels.org, Nantucket is North America’s most expensive destination in terms of lodging cost. The island came out in the top spot at $301 per night after a comparison of all destinations in the USA and Canada.

The rankings were determined based on the price travelers will have to pay for the cheapest available double room from August 1–31. Therefore, they represent the minimum price guests will have to spend to stay at each specific destination. Only those hotels and inns with a positive average client rating and only those located close to the beach/city center have been considered.
