In Memoriam: Robert M. Bloch, Former President and CEO of Riverside Travel

Robert M. Bloch, former president and CEO of Riverside Travel, has passed away at the age of 97, according to a statement from Protravel International

Riverside Travel was started in 1925. After Bloch retired from the travel agency, his daughter, Linda Bloch, continued at the company and joined Protravel International. 

Riverside Travel was named in the 1970s as one of the top New York travel agencies in the GIANTS consortium. Bloch was on many advisory boards, including TWA and Royal Viking Line, and chair of the travel agency division of UJA. He was also on the inaugural flight of the 747 and Concorde aircraft.
