Air New Zealand Operates Weekly Flights From Japan

In an attempt to stimulate passenger growth from Japan, Air New Zealand will operate its charter program from Japan to New Zealand.

According to Breaking Travel News, Air New Zealand will operate a weekly charter service into Auckland from Nagoya, Fukuoka or Kagoshima between January 25 and March 14 aboard the 230-seat Boeing 767-300 aircraft.

"This summer season charter program shows that demand former regional Japan for destination New Zealand is recovering," Mark Frood, Tourism New Zealand's General Manager tells Breaking Travel News. "There is a sense of growing optimism in the outbound tourism market and the increased capacity has been warmly welcomed by the Japanese tourism industry."
