Alaska Sets La Paz, Mexico Schedule

On the heels of U.S. Department of Transportation approval last week, Alaska Airlines said it will offer new nonstop service between Los Angeles International Airport and La Paz, Mexico, starting Oct. 30. Initially, the airline will offer the nonstop service three times a week. Flights from Los Angeles to La Paz will depart at 11:20 a.m. Pacific time on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Return flights will depart La Paz at 3:35 p.m. Mountain time on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Los Angeles-La Paz flights will be operated on Boeing 737-400 aircraft, accommodating 12 passengers in first class and 132 in the main cabin. La Paz becomes the 10th Mexican destination the airline serves. Alaska is offering introductory one-way fares of $129 and fares are on sale now at [www.alaskaair.com] or at 800-ALASKAAIR. Customers must book and purchase their tickets by July 31, and travel by Dec. 19. Alaska also said Alaska Airlines Vacations packages to La Paz will be available for purchase beginning in September.
