Allegiant Air Adds Flights at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport

Allegiant announced new, nonstop jet service from Cincinnati /Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) to Fort Lauderdale, FL, beginning Oct. 9, 2014 and Phoenix, AZ, beginning Nov. 12, 2014.

In addition to these two new, low-cost flight options for Cincinnati travelers, Allegiant will also add additional weekly flights to Orlando, St. Petersburg and Punta Gorda, FL. Some flights to Florida will be as low as $81 one way, incuding taxes and fees. Restrictions apply.

These one-way promotional fares are not available on all flights; travel dates and seats are limited. Tickets must be purchased by July 18, 2014 for travel by Feb. 10, 2015. In addition, the price reflects a debit card discount of $6 per person per segment; the credit card price is higher. Baggage fees also may apply.

"We are excited to further expand low-cost air travel in Cincinnati," said Andrew C. Levy, president and chief operating officer, Allegiant Travel Company. "Since we began operating in Cincinnati earlier this year, the community has shown an overwhelming appetite for access to affordable vacation travel. We are confident the community will appreciate the convenience of flying nonstop to these new destinations and the value of bundling their air, hotel and car rental reservation together."

Allegiant began its service at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in February 2014 with nonstop flights to Orlando. The carrier has since added nonstop flights to two additional Florida vacation destinations as well as seasonal summer service to Myrtle Beach, SC.

Today's announcement means that Allegiant will more than double its footprint at CVG, increasing its seven weekly flights to 18, with air service to six destinations. Allegiant cited Cincinnati as the fastest-growing origination city in the airline's 15-year history, and the carrier attributes the expansion to the overwhelming demand for low-cost, nonstop flights to leisure destinations.

The new flights to Fort Lauderdale will operate four times weekly between Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). The new flights to Phoenix will operate twice weekly between CVG and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA).

Queen City travelers can take advantage of everyday low fares and save even more when they book air, hotel, car, activity and attraction reservations together.

For a limited time, Allegiant is offering three-day, two-night vacation packages at Orlando's Seralago Hotel & Suites for as low as $231.16 per person with some restrictions. Details including flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found at www.allegiant.com.
