American Airlines and United Airlines Raise Surcharge Fees

American Airlines and United Airlines have raised their surcharge on trans-Atlantic flights by $10 each way to help cover rising fuel costs, reports Bloomberg News. The surcharge increase brings the total surcharge for both airlines to $75 each way, the business news agency reported. The two carriers are not the first to raise fees. US Airways, Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines have all made similar moves in recent weeks, according to Bloomberg News.
