American Airlines increased fuel surcharges on fares to and from most of its transatlantic and transpacific international destinations, excluding Japan. With few exceptions, the increase is $10 one way, $20 roundtrip, and is effective immediately. The airline said the increases would help offset the rising cost of jet fuel.
