Austrian: Bookings Are Up 20 Percent

Despite intense competition, Austrian Airlines said it increased its passenger loads more than 20 percent in the first quarter of 2006. The airline also said this summer is poised to produce very high traffic growth, as Austrian adds cities and frequencies in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia from its home in Vienna-including increasing flights to Moscow to three daily and to Tel Aviv to two daily. Austrian flies to Vienna from New York, Washington and Toronto.
