Shortly after British Airways announced its strengthened contingency plan as it approaches a strike by Unite cabin crew members, the carrier is announcing more flights that have been reinstated between March 20 and March 22.
Since the airline published its flying schedule for March 20-22, the number of cabin crew offering to work as normal has increased significantly – and is expected to grow further. The carrier is also pleased that the number of other airlines offering their help for the strike period through charters or provision of spare seats has increased from 50 on Monday to more than 60 today. These developments have enabled BA to reinstate some previously canceled flights.
Fights have been reinstated to the following destinations:
* Paris, Nice, Toulouse and Marseille
* Glasgow, Manchester, Edinburgh and Aberdeen
* Rome, Milan, Genoa, Pisa and Bologna
* Amsterdam
* Brussels
* Dusseldorf
Passengers who originally booked on one of these flights but later canceled their booking will be treated as a new customer and they can make a booking, subject to availability.
If passengers rebooked onto another BA flight outside the strike period, the will be able to rebook back onto their original flight at no extra cost, subject to availability.
