Delta, Air France-KLM Increase Codeshares With India-based Jet Airways

deltaDelta Air Lines and joint venture partner Air France-KLM will enhance their existing cooperation with India's Jet Airways, subject to government approvals. 

Effective October 30, Delta customers flying from the United States and Europe will be able to connect to Jet Airways' flights to Mumbai from Paris; and to New Delhi and Mumbai from Amsterdam. From there customers can then fly to 20 destinations within India.

Approximately 11,000 passengers fly between North America and the Indian subcontinent each day.

Highlights of the expanded agreement are:

More destinations within India: Delta customers flying through Paris and Amsterdam will have access to 20 new destinations including: Calicut, Coimbatore, Goa, Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mangalore, Pune, Trivandrum, and Vadodara.

New connectivity through Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport: Jet Airways will codeshare on Delta's complete offering of 13 destinations in North America via Paris-Charles de Gaulle, which includes Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Cincinatti, Detroit, Minneapolis, Newark, New York, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham, Salt Lake City, and Seattle.

Jet Airways will also codeshare on Air France's flights to 12 destinations in North America, including: Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Washington in the U.S.; Vancouver and Montreal, Canada; and Mexico City, Mexico.

Expanded codeshare agreement through Amsterdam Airport Schiphol: Through Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Jet Airways will codeshare to nine additional points between North America to Amsterdam operated by Delta and KLM, bringing the total to 19 points.  

Similarly, Jet Airways will also codeshare to 10 cities within the U.S. operated from and to Delta's U.S. hubs to the following destinations: Austin, Charlotte, Columbus, Denver, Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix, San Diego, St. Louis, and Tampa.
