IMPERIAL, Pa. (AP) — Delta Air Lines is expanding its service from Pittsburgh International Airport to Paris this travel season.

Delta has offered seasonal flights from the Pittsburgh airport to Charles de Gaulle Airport since 2009.

This year, the service will run seven days a week from May 1 and run through Oct. 29.

Last year, the Paris flights began May 10 and were offered only five days a week until the seven-days-a-week service kicked in from June 15 until early September. After that, the service de-escalated to five days a week and three days a week through October.

Christina Cassotis, the CEO of the Allegheny County Airport Authority, says the Paris service is "an important economic driver for our region, as well as a huge convenience for leisure travelers."
