Delta Opts for Travel Impressions to Run Packaged Product

March 21, 2008 By: Travel Agent Central Contributor Travel Agent

Delta Air Lines is moving the operations of its Delta Vacations brand from Certified Vacations to Travel Impressions, which is owned by American Express. The move is effective July 1. As a result, the site will be migrated from Certified Vacations to Travel Impressions on July 1, as will all existing Delta Vacations reservations, customer service and sales service toll-free contact numbers. Bottom line? Travel agents will not have to learn a new litany of contact numbers for Delta Vacations.

A spokesman for Certified stressed that the business relationship between Delta Air Lines and Certified Vacations has not ended. "Delta Air Lines has decided to move the Delta Vacations brand to Travel Impressions, however, Certified Vacations continues to have a tour operator agreement with Delta Air Lines that enables Certified Vacations to offer Delta products via its private-label Future Vacations brand," he said, noting that Certified Vacations also continues to operate Future Vacations and Continental Airlines Vacations.

Certified Vacations will continue to manage all sales service and customer service issues relating to any and all Delta Vacations bookings made on or before June 30, 2008 regardless of effective dates of travel. (RT)
