DALLAS (AP) — Delta Air Lines will stay at Dallas Love Field — for now — while the airline and rival Southwest argue in court about space at the crowded airport.

Delta operates five daily flights at a gate borrowed from United Airlines, but that deal ends July 6. United subleased the gate and one other to Southwest Airlines, and Southwest went to federal court to remove Delta.

Southwest spokesman Brad Hawkins said Wednesday that his airline agreed to temporarily extend Delta's use of the gate until the court can hear arguments.

Delta spokeswoman Kate Modolo said her airline was pleased with the truce while the airlines seek a long-term settlement in the courts.
