El Al Israel Airlines will launch the only nonstop service between Los Angeles and Tel Aviv on July 23. Flights will operate three times per week throughout the year on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays departing Los Angeles at 12:20 p.m. and arriving in Tel Aviv at 12:50 p.m. the next day. Return flights on the same days depart Tel Aviv at 1:15 a.m. and arrive in Los Angeles at 6:45 a.m. the same day. Wireless Internet and live TV are being installed on the Boeing 777 fleet that will operate the route. The carrier is offering special introductory rates of $3,418 per person for two people flying Platinum Business class and $4,435 per person for two passengers flying together in First Class from July 23 to Aug. 31. Coach fares are also available for $1,399 per person from July 23 to Aug. 17 and $1,259 from Aug. 18–31.
