First Non-Stop U.S.-St. Petersburg Flight Announced

Baltia Airlines said it hopes to offer non-stop service between John F. Kennedy Airport, New York, and St. Petersburg, Russia sometime this fall. The flight would be the first non-stop route between the U.S. and the Russian city. The company also said it plans future, non-stop service between JFK and Riga, Kiev and Minsk. Company Spokesman Bob Strom speculated that those flights might begin running sometime around the start of 2008.
