Flyers Breathe Easier After DL Deal

Holiday travelers were breathing a bit easier on Friday after Delta Air Lines announced that customers can now book future flights with confidence. Negotiators for the airline and its pilots union reached a tentative agreement on long-term pay and benefit cuts, thus avoiding a potential strike which could have come as early as today. The deal is still subject to ratification by the airline's 5,930 pilots and must be approved by the bankruptcy court.
