JetBlue Adds Flights to Fort Myers and Tampa, FL From Hartford, CT

jet blueJetBlue Airways announced today plans to add daily nonstop service to two new Floridian destinations from Bradley International Airport in Hartford, CT (BDL), effective Oct. 24.

First, it will add winter seasonal service to Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers (RSW), which is the closest major airport to Estero, Sanibel and Captiva islands as well as other popular southwestern Florida beach destinations.

Second, JetBlue will add daily nonstop year-round service to Tampa International Airport (TPA), located on Florida's central west coast.

To celebrate the new service, JetBlue has put the flights on sale now through May 7 for $80 one way to Tampa and $90 one way to Fort Myers for travel between Oct. 24 and Nov. 20 (blackout dates apply).

JetBlue already has service southbound from Hartford to Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Orlando (MCO), West Palm Beach (PBI) and San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU).

"Our new flights to Fort Myers and Tampa are testament to the success of our existing Bradley service and the continued support of the community and the ease of which it is to work with the Connecticut Airport Authority," said Scott Laurence, JetBlue's vice president network planning and partnerships.

JetBlue's flights between Hartford and Fort Myers as well as Tampa will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft.
