KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Announces New Service to Minneapolis

klm dutch airlinesKLM Royal Dutch Airlines will begin operating thrice-weekly flights to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays beginning March 27, 2017. 

The new KLM service is in addition to the already existing three daily flights between Amsterdam and Minneapolis operated by Delta Air Lines, Air France KLM’s transatlantic joint-venture partner. 

Flight schedule (in local time)

  • Departs Minneapolis at 2:50 p.m., arrives in Amsterdam at 5:50 a.m. the following day;
  • Departs Amsterdam at 9:35 a.m., arrives in Minneapolis at 11:20 a.m.

The flights will be operated using an Airbus 330-200 with 18 world business class seats, 35 economy comfort seats, and 214 seats in economy class. 

Air France and KLM and their partners Delta and Alitalia operate the biggest trans-Atlantic joint venture with over 250 daily flights, including flight to and from over 60 U.S. cities.

Earlier this year, KLM extended their codeshare with India’s Jet Airways, bringing connections to Mumbai and New Delhi from Paris and Amsterdam, respectively. They also partnered with AltAir and SkyNRG to bring sustainable biofuel to their flights between Amsterdam and Los Angeles.
