New Developments for Jet Airways

Jet Airways is continuing to expand with a slew of new announcements.

First the airline has become the first Indian carrier to join AACO, the Arab Air Carriers Organization, as the first Partner Airline of the regional airline association. The partnership will allow Jet Airways and other members to work together on joint projects such as fuel management, ground services, safety initiatives and training.

An additional 10 check-in counters will be added to the Indira Gandhi International Airport's Terminal 3, bringing the total number of Jet Airways check-inc ousters to 42.

Two million guests flew with Jet Airways in May 2011, marking the highest number of passengers carried by the airline. This news comes in conjunction with a 17 percent growth in both domestic and international traffic as compared to the same period last year.

Finally, Jet Airways chairman Naresh Goyal has been reelected to the IATA Board of Governors.
