New Low-Cost Travel Option in Florida this Holiday Season

September 10, 2009 By: Michael Grisafe Travel Agent

Just in time for the holidays, Airtran is scheduled to begin nonstop jet service between Orlando and Key West in Florida starting December 17.

For busy travelers, Airtran’s schedule will offer some flexibility, with flights departing four times per week on their 137-passenger Boeing 737-700 jet.  And at a  cost of $119 per person plus taxes, Airtran is a viable option for travelers looking for some ways to save some cash for Holiday shopping.

In addition, Airtran will soon offer direct same-plane service from Atlanta and several connections in Orlando to locations within the AirTran Airway network.

Currently, flights are scheduled for Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, with departures from Orlando International Airport set for 11:30 a.m. and arrivals at Key West International Airport slated for 12:40 p.m.

Return flights to Orlando will depart Key West at 1:30 p.m. and arrive in Orlando at 2:40 p.m.
