Northwest Waives Change Fees, Provides Tips

Northwest Airlines will waive change fees for customers ticketed to travel on Aug. 10 who missed a flight due to security delays, and the airline is providing its customers with suggestions on how to navigate new security processes as a result of a new requirement from the U.S. Transportation Security Administration affecting all airline passengers. The airline will re-book these travelers, without normally applicable change fees or additional charges, on the next available flight in the same aircraft cabin. Changes to origins or destinations are not permitted; however, changes in connecting points are. For those ticketed to travel to, from or through the United Kingdom between August 10 and August 20 who wish to postpone their travel, Northwest will waive the normal change fees. Customers can postpone their travel for up to one year from the date their ticket was issued, providing they rebook by October 31. For more information, visit [www.nwa.com].
