United Airlines is returning to New Zealand, the New Zealand Herald reports. The airline, in partnership with Air New Zealand, will begin flying from San Francisco to Auckland July 1.

The service will run three times per week, increasing to daily in October, on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. United officials told the New Zealand Herald that the service would represent a “new United,” with a stronger onboard product than in the past. As of two and a half years ago, the airline’s Boeing 747 service to Australia had no entertainment or drinks in economy class. Dreamliners reinstated these features, and added Wi-Fi access for all transpacific passengers and lie-flat beds in Business Class

American Airlines, in partnership with Qantas, is launching Los Angeles - Auckland service later this month.
