Ted Turns Two, United Touts Pluses

Ted, United's low-fare service, turns two years old on Feb. 12. The fleet has grown 20 percent since it launched on Feb. 12, 2004. Ted serves United as a proving ground for new ideas that enhance customer service, and has been the launching pad for the industry's first fully automated dual-end jet bridge planned for Denver. Ted has carried more than 17 million passengers, achieving a load factor greater than 83 percent since its launch. Daily flights have increased as well, from 20 flights per day in February 2004 to more than 250 daily flights today. Ted carries more than 27,000 customers each day to destinations across United's route network.
