U.S. Airways to Impose Booking Fees

U.S. Airways has become the latest carrier to impose a $3.50-per-segment booking fee on agents using certain GDSs. The airline reported on its web site Friday that its new policy would go into effect Sept. 1. for agents using Sabre's Efficient Access Solution, Worldspan's Super Access Product, all G2 Switchworks products, all Amadeus GDSs, and certain Galileo products. It was not clear Friday which Galileo products were exempt from the fees.
