The M/V Aria by Adventure Life is the second luxury cruise ship to explore the northern Amazon in Peru.

Designed for a maximum of only 32 guests by Peruvian architect Jordi Puig, the M/V Aria offers an outdoor Jacuzzi, a relaxed lounge, and gourmet cuisine. The ship boasts 16 240 square foot luxury suites with sitting areas and large picture windows for panoramic views of the Amazon River. A menu by Pedro Miguel Schiaffino pairs fresh Peruvian cuisine with South American wines.

Off the ship, guests can experience guided jungle explorations, encounter bald uakari moneys and other wildlife, photograph rare freshwater dolphins, visit Pacaya-Samiria Reserve, visit locals in the village of Puerto Miguel, and explore the depths of the Amazon forest by skiff.

"The M/V Aria offers one of the most intimate Amazon experiences available," said Adventure Life Operations Director Jonathan Brunger. "With a maximum of 32 guests plus crew, this ship provides extremely high-end dining and sleeping accommodations, and phenomenal access to Amazonian wildlife."

Travel agents who book this for a client who is already listed in Adventure Life's database can receive a 5 percent commission on ground costs, which excludes all flights, international transfers, additional accomodations and custom tours. If the client is not in Adventure Life's database, the commission rises to 10 percent.

Agents who expect to book five or more trips per year through Adventure Life can register for the AL Preferred Agency Comission Agreement (ALPACA). Members of ALPACA receive override commissions in addition to the standard 10 percent commission they receive on each booked departure. After the first five booked departuresof a year, the override commision is two percent, for a 12 percent total commission. After the first 10 booked departures, the override rises to five percent, for a 15 percent total commission. Overrides are paid in February of the following year, and members receive a quarterly report to help them track their progress.

A booked departure is defined as a unique travel experience, so, for example, a couple would count as one booked departure. Groups receive special net rates, and so they are not  eligible for override commissions. However, every group of 10 or more will count as two booked departures toward a member's total.
