The Latest Anguilla Hotel News From the CTO State of the Industry Conference

cto press conferenceAs part of our ongoing coverage of the Caribbean Tourism Organization's State of the Industry Conference (SOTIC) 2015, Travel Agent sat in on a presentation by Cardigan Connor, parliamentary secretary of tourism for Anguilla, and got the latest hotel news on the island.

Zemi Beach House Resort & Spa is a boutique resort property developed by the NYC-based Goldstein Family slated to open in January. It will be the first luxury resort on the east end of the island, says Connor. Amenities include two restaurants including a fine dining and casual beachfront restaurant; the Zemi Thai House Spa, which will be the first spa in Anguilla to feature a House of Wellbeing, including an outdoor clay and salt experience; two pools with cabanas; a Kids' Club; a wide variety of water sports; tennis courts; a fully equipped state-of-the-art gym; and The Rum Room Bar and library, which will specialize in world renowned small-batch estate rum, and will offer late night cocktail service, private dinners and tastings.

The Reef by CuisinArt in Rendezvous Bay is set to open in November. This new beachfront resort will offer a contemporary boutique experience.  The 80-room property will have four beachfront buildings containing 30 suites, while the main building will accommodate 50 rooms. In addition to leisure travelers, the groups and incentives market will be an important target audience for this property. 

Kishti Villa Collection on Meads Bay opened on June 1 of this year. Located on gorgeous Meads Bay Beach, each villa has six bedrooms, and two kitchens under one roof. The villas come fully staffed with attentive yet non-intrusive personnel, and a host of amenities, including a fully outfitted gym, a home theater, heated infinity pool, water sports, board games and complimentary beach and poolside service.
