seaborne airlinesThe Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB) and Seaborne Airlines have signed a joint agreement on the winter 2016/2017 flight schedule from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Anguilla’s Clayton J Lloyd International Airport.

Starting November 1, Seaborne Airlines will operate six flights per week form San Juan (SJU) to Anguilla (AXA) from Thursday through Monday. One afternoon flight per day will operate on Thursdays, Fridays and Mondays, and two flights per day, one in the afternoon and another in the evening, will operate on Saturdays and Sundays.

“This expanded service will make a significant and positive impact in enhancing connectivity from all our source markets,” said Donna Banks, ATB chairperson, in a written release. “The evening flight will facilitate connections from the West Coast of the U.S. and from Europe, while the morning flight from Anguilla enables seamless connections for the return home. Improving access is a critical factor as we seek to increase overall tourist arrivals.”

The schedule and fares are currently being finalized, and a further announcement will be made in the near future.

The announcement came at the conclusion of a week of marketing meetings convened by the ATB with its global representatives from the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Puerto Rico and Latin America
