ASTA Allied Marketing Committee Elects Leaders

Chris Austin, Starwood Hotels, and Carolyn Cauceglia, Amadeus, have been elected to ASTA's Allied Marketing Committee (AMC) as AMC co-chairs, ASTA reports. 

“Made up of ASTA’s key supplier partners, the Allied Marketing Committee plays a critical role in guiding the work of the Association as we work to reinvent ourselves to face future challenges,” said Zane Kerby, ASTA president and CEO.

Chris Austin is vice president, global leisure and luxury sales for Starwood Hotels & Resorts. A member of the Starwood Sales Organization leadership team, Austin is responsible for driving meaningful and deeper partnerships in the leisure and luxury sales segments with Starwood’s top global customers for all nine Starwood brands. Austin is also responsible for the luxury sales strategy supporting the St. Regis, The Luxury Collection and W Hotels Worldwide brands, and is responsible for the global strategy and leadership of the retail travel professional channel, ASTA said.

Carolyn Cauceglia, Amadeus’ vice president of strategic sales and account management for North America, has over 25 years of experience in travel and technology, actively works to shape the future of the industry through her participation in trade organizations and dedication to community and charitable causes. Cauceglia also oversees the team responsible for developing and growing relationships with travel companies focused in the area of specialty travel, large leisure agencies, cruise lines and marine travel. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Tourism Cares, an organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the travel experience for future generations, and is vice chair of the Board of Trustees for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Southern Florida Chapter, ASTA reports.

The goal of the Allied Marketing Committee is to identify new and emerging markets of travel products to aid member travel agencies in the diversification of business mix, ASTA says. The Committee also provides guidance to ASTA for the marketing of ASTA and its products to members and non-members.
