ASTA CEO: Chapters Are Key to Our Success

zane kerbyASTA’s chapters are vital to the Society’s success, reports ASTA president and CEO Zane Kerby who addressed a recent meeting of the American Society of Travel Agents’ (ASTA) Chapter Presidents Council (CPC)  February 7-9 at the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Exploration Center.

The meeting was to share best practices in chapter development and was hosted by Scott Pinheiro, president of Santa Cruz Travel and ASTA’s Northern California (NorCal) chapter.

The conference clearly helped the chapter leaders develop stronger chapter programs that will provide members with a platform to network and grow, Kerby said. “Healthy, vibrant chapters are essential for developing a strong grass roots base for the Society’s advocacy initiatives."
