Disqualified ASTA Board Candidate Resigns from ASTA

ASTA member and disqualified Board candidate, Alan Fiermonte, has resigned from ASTA citing an impending Executive Committee disciplinary hearing that had been scheduled for later in August.

Fiermonte responded with a statement, “As a small business agent advocate, I fervently believe that I have not violated any bylaws, rules, or duties to any of the trade associations to which I belong.  I can no longer sustain my industry reform and advocacy efforts under these conditions.  I wish all parties well with the significant challenges that threaten small business agency disintermediation, unprofitability and extinction."
