Pittman and Hughes Join ARC’s Agency Services Group

handshakeARC reports the appointment of two agency industry veterans, John Pittman and Colleen Hughes, to its Agency Services group. Pittman and Hughes, who began their tenure with ARC this month, will both carry the title of director, strategic agency relationships, and will spearhead ARC's outreach to travel agencies.

Jeannine Hankinson, managing director, agency services, for ARC said: “Both of them know the industry inside out and will use that knowledge to bring to ARC a holistic view and understanding of agencies’ many internal business disciplines."

Before coming to ARC, Pittman served as senior vice president at The American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA), where for 20 years he was responsible for regulatory/industry affairs, market research, marketing, and consumer affairs.

Hughes, who was most recently at URS Federal Services, began her career at Carlson Wagonlit Travel; starting as an agent and then subsequent roles as account manager, on-site manager, and ultimately managing a set of eight offices. She was also the travel manager at Mercedes-Benz of North America.
