RSAA Names Todd Hamilton Executive DirectorSeptember 18, 2008 By: George Dooley
The board of directors of the Receptive Services Association of America (RSAA), a major force among tour operators, hoteliers and visitors bureaus to encourage travel to the U.S., announced that Todd Hamilton has been selected as the new executive director effective November 1.
"The Board of Directors and I are confident Todd will be a great addition to the RSAA team," said Beverley Callender, RSAA's president. "His years of association management work and travel industry experience is a real plus for our organization."
Recently it was announced that IMG Associations would become the new management partner for RSAA. In this partnership, RSAA will have a full-time executive director dedicated to advancing the goals of the membership and the interests of the organization. In this capacity, Hamilton will be working with other travel industry partners and individual RSAA members to help raise the profile of RSAA within the industry.
Hamilton has been part of the IMG Associations team since 1999. Before joining, he worked seven years in government and industry affairs for the National Tour Association. He has more than 12 years experience working with non-profit organizations on a local and national level, and currently serves on the board of directors of Champion Supports and Services, Inc.
On the move to the new position, Hamilton said, "I look forward to working with the membership and board of RSAA to continue the good work that has been accomplished. I believe there is great potential in RSAA and I am excited to be part of the new direction of the association."
Hamilton will be located in the new Lexington, KY offices of the association.
