Roughly 300 tourism and travel buyers from around the world are expected to meet in Auckland, New Zealand next month for TRENZ 2014, a conference that focuses on new and exciting tourism products New Zealand has to offer clients.
TRENZ, which takes place May 18-21 in Queens Wharf, Auckland, is New Zealand’s largest annual international trade show. This year, about 260 of New Zealand’s leading tourism operators will showcase their products to the 300 buyers who are the most influential in terms of generating international visitors to New Zealand.
Travel Agent was on hand for last year's event, which attracted more than 1,000 people, including roughly 290 international buyers from 27 markets, 252 New Zealand exhibitors, roughly 27 international media and 21 domestic media.
For this year, buyers are coming from 30 countries, including traditional visitor markets such as Australia, the U.K. and the USA, and newer markets where New Zealand tourism is targeting high-value visitors, such as Brazil and Indonesia.
