Tourism Australia is making it possible for retailers and consumers to send messages of condolence to the family and colleagues of Steve Irwin, who died this weekend. Irwin had spent the past several years sharing his love of Australia with potential travelers. "He was the bright, passionate face of Australia," says Michael Londregan, Tourism Australia's vice president the Americas. "People, particularly here in the U.S., saw in him what they most loved about our country." The Los Angeles office of Tourism Australia has established an e-mail address to which messages can be sent for Irwin's family and colleagues; write to [email protected]. Travel agents who are attending Corroboree in Cairns will be able to sign a book for the family on site.
