Australian supermodel and businesswoman Elle Macpherson launched Virgin Blue’s new uniform, joined by 60 of Virgin Blue’s own pilots and crew for a runway show in Sydney this morning.
The red and royal purple uniforms were the inspiration of Project Runway winner Juli Grbac, an Australian designer. “I took inspiration from the glamour of flying in the 1960s and gave it a contemporary edge to fit Virgin Blue’s new brand positioning. I worked closely with Virgin Blue to create the ultimate design that would not only look sophisticated and have that wow factor, but be comfortable and of superior quality.
The uniform launch was held in Australia’s newest (and, we hear, hottest) fashion precinct, Westfield Sydney.
