The Association of Travel Marketing Executives (ATME) recognized some of the travel industry’s top achievers and most innovative companies in travel marketing during its recent 28th Annual ATLAS Awards banquet, sponsored by Discover Network.
New to the 2008 Awards is the Top Marketer Category, which recognizes people behind successful marketing initiatives and strategies. This year’s recipients are Kirk Thompson of Hilton Hotels and Joanne Smith of Delta Airlines.
Recipients of other ATME Atlas Award categories include: Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group for green innovation, Norwegian Cruise Line for best cruise line branding, Dubai for best branding of an international destination and the award for best overall branding went to Travelocity.
