Abaco Beach Resort in The Bahamas Remains Open After Hurricane Joaquin

Bahamian Out Island favorite Abaco Beach Resort and Boat Harbour Marina, recently reassured clients that the property is fully operational and open for business as usual.

The resort was unaffected by Hurricane Joaquin and the current weather conditions are so good, some guests are catching their vacation-ready sunrays by the beach or pool while others are out fishing for other aqua- or eco-adventures.

“We experienced some light showers during the hurricane last week but thankfully, the northern part of The Bahamas was spared the full force of the storm. We are happy to report that all is well at the hotel and on the island of Abaco,” said Brent Ingraham, director of sales and marketing, in a written release. “However, our neighbors in the Central Bahamas did not fare as well therefore our thoughts are with them at this difficult time."

Abaco Beach Resort is popular with boaters, adventure-seekers, family, couples and groups of friends. It is a short 50-minute flight from major airports in Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Miami

The resort features two pools, a fitness center, two tennis courts, two restaurants and bars, a 200-slip marina, a kids program and complimentary non-motored water sporting equipment.
