In Cabo, a New Hacienda

The Hacienda Beach Club & Residences
The Hacienda Beach Club & Residences overlooks Land’s End, where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean.

On the beach in Cabo San Lucas where the famed Hacienda Hotel once stood, the Hacienda Beach Club & Residences now provides a luxury resort experience with all the comforts of home.

Developed as a residential property, Hacienda’s vacation rental program includes accommodations that range from one- to four-bedroom Resort Residences to four-bedroom Beachfront Villas with private infinity pools.

Resort Residences come with access to the marina and views of the Sea of Cortez from private terraces, but the most popular accommodations are the 16 detached, two-story villas with four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. These also have expansive interior and outdoor living areas complete with private, heated infinity-edge pool and spa, outdoor grill and dining area, and direct beach access. Each villa has 3,424 square feet of indoor living space and a gourmet kitchen as well as a living area that extends to the beachfront terraces.

Guests of Hacienda Beach Club & Residences have access to the fitness center, spa, Beach Club and all dining outlets. Beachfront Villa guests can opt for the services of a butler or chef at an extra cost, without a requisite minimum-nights stay.

All those touches are very nice, but we’d say it’s the location of the property that will be the big selling point for agents. Set on 22 acres of Medano Beach—the area’s best waters for swimming—Hacienda Beach Club & Residences is a gated resort in exclusive downtown Cabo San Lucas, steps away from all the restaurants, bars and nightlife.

On-Property and Off

Overlooking the iconic rock formations of Land’s End—where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean—Hacienda’s Beach Club has a palapa bar, cabanas, multi-tiered infinity-edge swimming pools, recreational equipment and the signature restaurant, Cocina y Cantina. The family-style restaurant serves authentic, fresh cuisine along with a variety of tequilas and offerings from an extensive wine list and rum-infused drinks called curas.

The full-service spa has four treatment cottages, including a spa suite for couples, and specializes in traditional Mexican rejuvenating treatments and therapies.

For guests looking to get out and about, the concierge can arrange activities such as cultural tours, hiking, sportfishing, sea kayaking expeditions and a preferred rate on tee times at the Palmilla golf course.

With Land’s End and Los Arcos as backdrops, Hacienda is a great choice for hosting weddings. For honey- mooners, ask about the resort’s package including champagne and a dozen red roses, private boat ride to Lover’s Beach, couples’ massage, private dinner on the beach and other exclusive, romantic perks.
