Whale-Watching Season Begins in Los Cabos

Whale

Starting now whales will begin arriving in Los Cabos off the Baja Peninsula. Eight species of whales migrate 12,000 miles to the area to give birth and rear their young. The whales will be in the calm, warm waters until March, making it the perfect time to go whale-watching.

Many local companies offer whale-watching excursions. Visitors can get close to the whales in inflatable speedboats. Several popular tour providers include Cabo Expeditions, Cabo Adventures and Sunrider. Each provider gives whale-watchers different experiences.

Sunrider offers dinning while looking for the whales. Passengers with Cabo Adventures can listen to the whales “singing” underwater with hydrophone listening technology, and Cabo Expeditions uses Zodiac inflatable boats, which are known for their stability.
