Cobblers Cove in Barbados Refurbishes Main Pool and Suites

Cobblers Cove, Barbados, an English Country House style hotel in the Caribbean, has unveiled a number of refurbishments just in time for the 2013 season.

The improvements include the renovation of many of the popular suite accommodations, as well as a completely new look for the hotel’s main pool, which dates back to 1968 and has been restored to maintain its charm and character.

"We are extremely excited about the refurbishments at Cobblers Cove," said General Manager, Alistair Forrest, in written release. "The end result is an enhancement to the guest experience and we look forward to sharing it with our returning guests, as well as our first-timers."

The main pool and surround has been completely refurbished with a spectacular Hawaiian-Blue, Diamond-Brite finish, in addition to stone tile around the water line and a coral stone rendering finish. The hotel has sustained the age-old beauty of the colonial plantation house deck by preserving and remodeling the brick tiling around the pool. The original plantation house, which was built in 1930, has received a thorough redecoration inside and out. The unique chandeliers and wall lights have been restored to their former glory to maintain authenticity.

The comprehensive suite redecoration program, which commenced last August, includes four Ocean Front Suites and seven Garden Suites (formerly Superior Suites) with more to follow in 2013. In addition, the Camelot Suite has received a complete facelift with a new plunge pool and Jacuzzi on the rooftop deck. The Colleton Suite pool has also received facelift to bring it in line with the hotel’s other pools.
