Elegant Hotels Group in Barbados has recently promoted Sunil Chatrani to chief operating officer of its hotel collection. He replaces Mark Campbell who has resigned from his role due to personal reasons.
Prior to joining Elegant Hotels Group as chief financial officer in 2010, Chatrani was chief executive officer of Bahamas Supermarkets Ltd and chief financial officer of The Barbados Shipping and Trading Company Ltd. He has extensive experience of Barbados tourism having served on the boards of several companies in the industry. He is currently a director of the Barbados Hotel & Tourism Association.
"On behalf of the whole board, I congratulate Sunil on his promotion. We look forward to working with him as we continue to improve the quality of our hotels, the experience of our guests, the role of our employees, and the profitability of the Elegant Hotels group," said Simon Sherwood, who will continue to support the group in his role as executive chairman, and welcomed Chatrani to his new role.
