Elite Island Resort Names New Managers at Several Properties

The Caribbean hotel company, Elite Island Resorts, announced several major appointments Wednesday, including Chris Ghita to the position of general manager of Palm Island resort in the Grenadines.

Ghita was formerly in charge of operations and the rooms division for Mount Cinnamon Beach Resort in Grenada, and has had extensive experience with luxury and Caribbean resorts.

Cedric Henry, most recently resort manager of the popular eco-friendly The Verandah Resort & Spa, is now the property manager at Galley Bay Resort & Spa on Antigua. Henry will report to James Lane II, the resort’s general manager. Marsha Moss has assumed the role of resort manager at The Verandah Resort & Spa in addition to being corporate administrator for Elite Island Resorts. In her new role she will report to Alex DeBrito, vice president of operations.

At St. James’s Club & Villas, Antigua, Gem Boothman has been named manager of guest services. Clara Miguel now replaces Boothman as activities director, which Boothman held this position at the resort previously. In Boothman’s new role she plans to re-launch the resort’s Facebook group page, create a new arrival orientation program and most importantly increase the level of personalized services the resort provides.
