Jamaica Resorts Offer Spa Treatments for ChildrenMay 21, 2010 By: Joe Pike
We've all seen some pretty impressive Kids and Teens clubs, but Sunset Resorts in Jamaica is taking the art of pampering children to the next level.
But is it going too far?
Sunset Resorts' two famil- friendly, all-inclusive properties in Jamaica— Sunset Beach Resort, Spa & Waterpark in Montego Bay and Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort, Spa & Conference Center in Ocho Rios— are now offering children’s spa treatments to young spa enthusiasts.
Children ages three to 10 can relax and rejuvenate just like their parents with specially designed, fun, and kid-themed pampering spa treatments.
A variety of fun treatments are available including manicures, pedicures, neck and shoulder massages and facials. Popular packages include a manicure and half head hair braiding or fingers and toe polish plus half head hair braiding.
Special parent and child packages are also available. The “Mommy & Me” package is 20-minute neck and shoulder massage, manicure and pedicure while the “Daddy & Me” package is a 20-minute neck and shoulder massage and mini facial or a haircut. A parent or adult guardian must accompany children during spa treatments. Children’s spa treatment packages range from $50 to $155.
Now, it's time for us to ask our readers: do spa treatements for children really make sense? Are children old enough to appreciate a good spa treatment and will this be something worth pitching to clients? Or is it just flat out creepy? Post a comment below. We want to hear from you.
