Tropical Storm Sean Set to Drench Bermuda

The National Hurricane Center is reporting that Tropical Storm Sean is moving faster to the northeast. A tropical storm warning still is in effect for Bermuda. The storm is forecast to begin losing strength on Friday.

At 400 p.m. Thursday, the storm was moving toward the northeast near 13 mph, and this motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days with an increase in forward speed. On the forecast track, the center of the storm should pass to the northwest of Bermuda on Friday morning.

Maximum sustained winds remain near 65 mph, with higher gusts. Little change in strength is expected tonight, and slow weakening is forecast on Friday. Tropical storm conditions are expected to begin on Bermuda late Thursday evening.

Sean is expected to produce one to three inches of rain in Bermuda. In fact, JetBlue Airways announced Thursday that it will waive change/cancel fees and fare differences for clients traveling to Bermuda from Thursday through Friday.
