Windward Islands Airways International (WINAIR) began double daily service between Beef Island and St. Maarten this past Sunday.
The airline will operate 19-seater de Havilland Twin Otter aircrafts into the British Virgin Islands (BVI) on the following schedule.
Flights depart St. Maarten at 11:35 a.m. and 4:55 p.m. and arrive in Tortola at 12:20 p.m. and 5:40 p.m., respectively. Returning flights leave Tortola at 12:40 p.m. and 6 p.m. and return back to St. Maarten at 1:30 p.m. and 6:50 p.m., respectively.
The return of WINAIR to the BVI will increase capacity to the BVI by an additional 13,000 seats per year and provides excellent connections for passengers traveling from the US and Europe via St. Maarten.
WINAIR currently has interline agreements with most of the major US carriers flying into St. Maarten making the transfer of passengers seamless. The WINAIR flights are bookable through the Global Distribution System (GDS).
