Belfast's Conference Center Gets Extension

Belfast Waterfront

Clients may be heading to Belfast, Ireland, in the near future, as the city is preparing to open a huge addition to its conference facility. In May 2016, Belfast Waterfront will open a fully integrated extension that will cover about 43,000 square feet.

The conference center has become a popular destination, having recently hosted the World Police and Fire Games in 2013, The Giro d'Italia in 2014 and the Game of Thrones Exhibition in 2014. Looking forward, the conference center already has 50 bookings into 2016.

The new $47 million expansion will have views along the River Lagan, two interconnecting halls with almost 27,000 square feet of space and larger meeting rooms that can fit 200 people. There will also be a riverside entrance that leads to a 7,105-square-foot reception area.

The new event space will complement the existing 2,000- seat auditorium, 380-seat studio and 14 meeting rooms.

There will be more information about the new meeting space at IMEX America at the Ireland Booth 3015
