Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino Announces $20M Renovation

The Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino in Lake Tahoe has announced a $20M renovation plan that includes the property’s 422 guestrooms and suites, the Sierra Café and the Spa Terrace Conference Center. The property expects to complete the renovations by Apr. 30, 2012.

“With these extensive refreshments to the resort, we are fulfilling our vision of a truly unique mountain respite at Tahoe, one that genuinely captures the region’s pristine natural beauty,” said Fred Findlen, general manager of Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino. “Great attention has been paid to creating an authentic sense of place by weaving in warm colors and natural materials inspired by the lake and the Sierras. These details, combined with a new, contemporary design and state-of-the-art amenities, create a Tahoe experience unlike any other.”

The new guestrooms will feature what the property describes as a “Grand Lodge” feel, with an oak floating headboard, credenzas and nightstands with touches of brushed steel and dark leather and slate gray and mocha carpeting creating a warm ambiance. The new rooms will boast remodeled bathrooms featuring contemporary back-lit mirrors and modern showers, “jack packs,” all-in-one multimedia hubs that easily pair the television with laptops or DVD players, and locally-themed artwork.

The redesigned Sierra Café will feature more contemporary décor, a new “Chef’s Table” geared for private events and a large fireplace.

The Spa Terrace Conference Center will boast an updated audiovisual system with an improved sound system and drop-down screens.
