KSL Capital Partners has acquired the Marriott Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, CA from Strategic Hotels & Resorts, folding it into the KSL Resorts' portfolio. KSL Resorts will take over management once the deal closes in July and renovate and expand the property over a 24-month period. The property will remain open and operate as an independent resort. Rancho Las Palmas will join KSL's two sister hotels in California: La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad and Hotel del Coronado in San Diego.
