Northstar California Begins Snowmaking for 2013-14 Ski Season (WITH VIDEO)

Northstar, located on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, is scheduled to open November 22, and the resort is starting to make snow for the 2013-14 ski season.

Skiers and riders can also still buy a season pass, which is currently priced at $469. A variety of pass options at Vail Resorts are still available, including:

  • Epic Pass - Unlimited access to 12 resorts and five free days at Verbier Switzerland, Arlberg Austria and Les 3 Vallées, France. Access includes 26 resorts in four countries. Adult price is $729 and $379 per child.
  • Epic Local Pass - Access to all Vail Resorts in the U.S. with limited restrictions. Pass holder tickets are available for $52 during blackout dates at Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood and $65 at Canyons. Adult price is $569, $429 per teen and $289 per child.
  • Tahoe Local Pass - Unlimited access to Northstar, Heavenly and Kirkwood. Adult price is $479, $369 per teen and $229 per child.
  • Tahoe Value Pass - Access to Northstar, Heavenly and Kirkwood with limited restrictions. Adult price is $439, $329 per teen and senior, and $219 per child.
